She has worked in biotech, manufacturing, sports and entertainment, travel and tourism, staffing, and for a chamber of commerce. Her exposure to such a variety of industries in the past 20+ years allows her to employ creative solutions across industries.

In Butte County, Carolyn was the CEO of Explore Butte County, a quasi-governmental non-profit destination marketing and management organization. For five years, she worked with a volunteer board to create an organization to promote travel and tourism to the county. Her understanding of collaboration and partnership, along with business start-up requirements, allowed the organization to grow from a volunteer board of directors to a small business that saw above-average growth during a period that crippled many in the travel and tourism space.

Recently, Carolyn began her own consulting firm, C G Denero Consulting, to assist small and medium-sized businesses identify growth opportunities, create strategies to realize those opportunities and implement processes. It is her mission to set realistic expectations to lead to success.
