$29M Raised
Secured major venture funding | Developed innovative Bio-CMOS platform | Expanded global R&D to three continents
AXBIO has successfully developed a microfluidic Bio-CMOS platform capable of high-throughput sequencing and molecular diagnostics. The platform’s versatility makes it possible to manufacture a wide range of systems, from low-cost handheld devices for bedside diagnostics and consumers to fully automated instruments for independent laboratories and hospitals.
Axbio provides sequencing, diagnostic systems, biochips, and detection reagents. Typical applications include early cancer screening and detection, rapid pathogen detection, and drug development. The company also provides customized services for chemical synthesis reagents, multiple pathogen detection kits, and multiple sample nucleic acid extraction kits.
Axbio always upholds the vision of “Wisdom Leads to Change,” never forgetting its original
intention, forging ahead, constantly innovating, providing customers with high-quality
services and high-quality products, developing more cutting-edge, high-end life science
instruments, Contribute to the development of science and biotechnology!
The Winning Formula
Axbio was established in 2016 with R&D centers in the United States, China, and Europe.
This amalgam of different cultures, knowledge, and perspectives created a symbiosis that led
to breakthrough accomplishments. Additionally, the company was founded by many Silicon
Valley serial entrepreneurs and executives of multinational groups, senior engineers, and
scientists. The third most crucial element was the cross-disciplinary talent from
professional fields that cover chip development, nanotechnology, microfluidics, Biotechnology, bioinformatics, big data, artificial intelligence, etc. Capital injection from the top VC institutions.
AXBIO’s research and development are not small feeds, and this area requires a lot of
capital. Once AXBIO’s Igor Ivanov heard about the Pitch Global / TFG Network and their
mentorship programs, he reached out to Pitch Global and Kaustav Chaudhuri and Axel
Tillmann was instrumental in advising on the storyline and introducing them to various
investors. Mr. Tillmann was a former member of the Board of Directors of a Silicon Valley
Semiconductor, which raised over $120M and exited to Intel for $300m, was able to contribute
his expertise.
Results
All these efforts led to the successful close of $29M, which catapults AXBIO onto the following path of
their journey.
